LOSER GOES HOME: BRANDON THATCH VS ERICK SILVA RUMORED FOR SEPTEMBER

In a meeting with MMA OddsBreaker’s James Lynch, UFC welterweight Bojan Velickovic disclosed that his coaching partner, former RFA welterweight champion Brandon”Ruckus” Thatch has been reserved to carry on Brazil’s Erick Silva. There is no official date and location for the fight booking, along with the bout hasn’t been formally announced, however, Velickovic did say it is in September, so one would suppose that could be September 24th’s UFC Fight Night 95 at Silva’s backyard of Brasilia, Brazil. The two 170-pounders have their backs against the wall heading into this competition, as Thatch is coming off three straight losses, being completed by rear naked choke entry in three of themand Silva is coming off a pair of defeats himself, most recently a barbarous knockout in the hands of Nordine Taleb. This is a small surprise match-up, as most guessed there was a good chance both welterweights would be receiving their walking papers from the promotion following their most recent outings inside the Octagon. The UFC has yet decided that one of them should stick around, and at a promotion where some fighters get cut these welterweights are fortunate. Both Thatch and Silva have seemed to be on a decrease in recent bouts, therefore it will be intriguing to see how they will look against each other when they square off this September. 1 fighter’s UFC narrative will last, while the person who tastes conquer will likely be inching closer to some Bellator contract, even when it would likely serve him better to just hang up the gloves for good. Silva stands out of Kings MMA CA under the tutelage of Master Rafael Cordeiro, at Huntington Beach. Thatch and Velickovic struggle from Evolution Fight Team in Denver, CO.. Velickovic confronted former American Top Team training partner Michael Graves at the featured bout for the UFC Fight Pass prelims for UFC 201 last evening with his bout resulting in a majority draw.
